Player versus Player (PvP) combat is in your Hunter’s future, even if you’ve avoided it so far. Wrath of the Lich King (WotLK) has brought more advanced, real time battles to the game.

The first real time PvP battle zone is Lake Wintergrasp. There players face off on the live server (no instancing) to win points they can use to buy rare and valuable items such as the new Heirloom items. These are items that any of the player’s characters in that account from level 1 to 80 and beyond can take advantage of.

With Lake Wintergrasp’s high popularity, and the trend toward PvP combat in the gaming industry, you’ll surely see more even more PvP in WoW in the future. Here’s what you need to know to handle your Hunter in this new world:

If you want to be a Hunter in PvP combat, it helps to have the instincts of a hunter. Why? Because you’re going to need to be able to identify your prey and understand how it will behave in various situations. You need this knowledge so you can hunt it down and terminate it. You need to understand your own capabilities, your gear, and the tactical situation. Then you need to position yourself and terminate your prey with extreme prejudice before it can take you down. In WoW PvP, it’s much the same, except that your prey is smarter and more cunning than any animal.

But playing a hunter in PvP involves much more than that. Understanding the best time to deploy your Freezing and Frost Traps and essential crowd control devices is necessary but not enough. You also need to know how to maintain the ideal distance between you and your opponents so you can cause as much ranged damage as possible in each fight. And you must do all this against an intelligent character, rather than a wild animal.

To truly succeed in Hunter PvP combat, you need to understand the behavior of each enemy class and have a strategy for defeating them. In particular you need to understand how Druids or Warriors or Rogues are likely to come at you. And you need to know how to counter those classes that can close to melee combat range quickly, such as Warriors and Rogues.

You can learn much of what you need to win as a Hunter in PvP simply by spending time in the arena. But I can tell you from personal experience that if you try, you had better be prepared to get crushed and humiliated for a long time. I spent many frustrating hours ranking last or near last in the standings when I tried. It wasn’t until I picked up a Hunter PvP Guide that I was able to make real progress.

Because a quality Hunter PvP Guide contains the hard-earned combat experience of Hunters with a vast amount of experience, it will contain information that you’re unlikely to discover on your own. In short, a good PvP Guide will save you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become good at PvP combat.

Not all ores in WoW are worth the same amount of gold. While mining any kind of ore is likely to be popular, concentrating on the most valuable ores will surely let you earn more gold faster. Let’s quickly talk about which ores are most worth mining for both lower-level and higher-level characters.

If you are going to be mining with a relatively low-level character, Mithril and Thorium are the ores for you. Both are valuable as ores or as bars and sell well in the Auction House. But if you have access to a Jewelcrafter, you can do even better. That’s because the gems that are produced from these ores are much more valuable than the raw ore itself.

Saronite is the main mineral of the Wrath of the Lich King. All of the metal-using professions need quantities of this mineral for their leveling and crafting, making it a great seller. Add in the fact that many important gems are prospected from this ore, and the demand for Saronite is truly huge.

Titanium is the most valuable ore of all. Despite being exceedingly rare, it is a vital ingredient for the majority of the high-level Jewelcrafter and Engineer recipes. Given those two characteristics, you can see why Titanium is so incredibly valuable.

The Warcraft Tycoon’s Handbook gives you much more information on each of these ores. And it will include lots of related information that will make mining those ores more profitable. Information like the best zones for mining each type, the best paths for mining the nodes, even how best to sell them in the Auction House.

If your character can supply the ores and gems others need to advance in the game, you can make a killing. Supplying raw materials and the like to others isn’t heroic or overly impressive to others, just very, very profitable.

You don’t ever have to worry about running out of WoW gold again. With the help of the Warcraft Tycoon’s Handbook, you can turn your normal game activities into serious sources of gold. And with only a little bit of work, you can generate hundreds, even thousands of gold in a single day.

Even better, the handbook covers much more than mining, so you won’t get bored doing the same thing all the time. And everything in the handbook is completely legal, so there’s no chance at all of getting banned.

For a long time, Mining has been seen as perhaps the best way to get rich in WoW. With the advent of Jewelcrafting, and the amount of ore that’s required to make high-level gear for even one Warrior these days, it is certainly true now. It’s possible to make good money as a Miner without really knowing what you’re doing (that’s how I made my Warcraft gold early on), but with a guide to assist you, big piles of gold are in your future.

There’s no way that I can do justice to the profession of Mining in an article. But I can give you the basics, then point you to the best place to get more information. So let’s get started.

Here’s some great news for any aspiring Miner. Low-level ores have become much more valuable than they were before Jewelcrafting. That means you can earn excellent money mining even at low levels. Even so, your character can make a lot more gold a lot faster, if they follow the advice of someone who has done it all before.

To understand why I say that, here are some questions you need to make the most gold from Mining:

  • Which ores that my characters can mine right now are most profitable?
  • Where can I find the ores I’m looking for right now?
  • Which zones are least crowded right now?
  • What’s the best time to farm these ores?
  • What should I do with these particular ores? Sell them? Smelt them? Prospect them?

The Warcraft Tycoon’s Handbook gives you the answers to all these questions along with much more information that will make your mining expeditions as lucrative as possible. From which ores sell best to the best zones for each type, to how to divide up your ores for sale in the Auction House, the Handbook tells you everything you need to know.

Supplying other players with the ores and gems their characters need is a sure way to make gold in WoW. It may not be a glamorous way to go, just very, very profitable.

With the Warcraft Tycoon’s Handbook, you’ll never have to worry about running out of gold again. Let one of the richest players around show you how you can turn your normal game activities into serious sources of gold. And if you’re really hungry for loot it only takes a little more effort to generate hundreds, even thousands of gold in each gaming session.

Don’t forget that the handbook covers much more than mining, so you’ll never get bored of the techniques doing the same thing all the time. And everything in the handbook complies with the WoW Terms of Service (ToS), so you don’t have to worry about Blizzard banning you.

World of Warcraft PvP combat is one of the most intense and most challenging parts of the WoW experience. Leading your allies into battle is terrific fun, and once you start having success, well PvP can be more than a little addictive. But Player versus Player can be really rough when you first start. It’s confusing, and you die an awful lot. And even if you’re a long-time veteran of player versus player combat, it’s not hard to lose track of the fundamentals. I’ve been there. Particularly once you’re having success, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment and forget the fundamentals that got you to your current level of success in the first place.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about three fundamental tactics you need to apply whether you’re new to this whole PvP thing, or making a name for yourself at a high level in WotLK.

First, you have to be able to heal yourself, at least a little. You may be brutally efficient at taking out the enemy quickly, and you may have healers along to take care of messy details like keeping you breathing, but when the crisis hits, and you have seconds to live, you need to be able to treat your own wounds some potions and bandages for emergencies. Do you really want your character to die because the healer you were counting on was busy elsewhere on the battlefield, or ran low on mana, or just got distracted when you needed him most?

Second, learn how to create macros, make them for all your key actions, and use them. When your foes are all around you, and you’re deep in the middle of the mayhem, speed is essential. Once you create and become skilled with macros for your special abilities and important spells, you’ll have a leg up on all your competitors who don’t have their act together as well as you do.

Third, remember that sometimes a strong defense is just as important as a strong offense. This is where getting caught up in the moment can really cause problems. What use is it if you capture a base or take a flag, then lose it right away because no one stayed around to defend it? The urge to chase down one more foe, to record one more kill can be almost irresistible, but sometimes the best thing you can do for your self and your side is to defend what you have rather than going on the attack.

Master these 3 principles, and apply them consistently, even when the blood is singing in your ears, and you’ll be far more successful in player versus player. Still, information like this, and even your own growing skill will only get you so far. To really rule in PvP, you are going to need help.

To advance to the highest levels of player versus player, you need to learn from the experience of the best. You can either try to find a mentor in the game who will teach you, or you can be smart and invest in a top PvP Guide. The best PvP guides provide not only basic information like that in this article, but specific, detailed information for each character class. That information comes from the top PvP gamers out there, people who have already done it all with their own characters. The top PvP guides will gather and organize that information for you, along with providing updates whenever a new patch like WotLK comes out.

If you want to be the best at WoW Player versus Player combat, you need to invest in the best guide. Go to http://PvP-Bible.info to learn more about that guide.
