As you complete quests you need to take time out to ‘grind’, where you fight and kill creatures purely for the experience, and not because you are trying to coplete a quest. When you are grinding, you will achieve greater experience if you are killing stronger opponents. But you really want to find a creature that your character can kill with relative ease so you can kill as many as you can as quickly as you can.
When trying to level fast it is essential that you collect special items as you prgress, which you will usually find on quests. don’t forget to do this or your character will level very slowly. It is essential that you manage your cash-flow if you want to progress fast and without losing momentum. You will always need to have a steady supply of gold throughout the game, to pay for mounts, repairs, items, and plenty besides. Keep going on quests to increase your gold supplies, and you can also farm gold, so that you do not run out and lose leveling momentum later on.
When you are rested you gain experience 200% faster. It’s something you must be aware of. This feature of WoW is made for the people who play casually, and not all the time, like many players. The problem here is that you will have to actually take a break fom play in real time to rest your character too, one way you can deal with this if you are very eager not to stop playing but you want to gain rested experience is to play two character simultaneously – so one rests while the other fights.
There is a leveling technique called ‘power leveling’ which is quite popular and effective. You need to play in a team with another higher level character, who is a lot tougher than yours. The idea is that their tough character wil lead you through much harder quests that you couldn’t do alone. When you do this you gain much more experience than before, but it is tricky and a bit dangerous. People will do this power leveling service for you in return for gold, items, or perhaps return power leveling services for another one of their characters. Or simply get a friend to help you out.
