Cats are great at finding new sources of food and change their habits, is there something we can learn from them?
It seems like everybody has their own theory on how to build wealth during the recession. Just some of the kind of things you’ll see across the Internet and blogosphere is advice like:
- Protect your job
- Move while others are distracted
- build passive income
- Evaluate your mortgage
- Consolidate debt
- Reduce expenditure
- Barter your way to savings
- Conserve and reduce your energy bills
- Tear up your credit cards
I really could go on to reach 99 just to represent the saying, “99 ways to skin a cat”. But I won’t waste your time. Of course, you can Google it all yourself and find out what the all time experts: Tom, Dick and Harry have to say.
So let me get straight to the point.
With so many ways to become rich, why do some fail with the same thing that others succeed with? Why is that even if you reduce your spending you still don’t get rich? Just because you have a degree does not mean you’ll get rich, does it? Why do some businesses fail and others succeed?
Because the secret is in HOW you go about being rich, not what you do. If you want RESULTS, you can try skinning the cat 99 ways, but there is a RIGHT way that does work.
Did you know that there is a formula that works time and again to produce riches?
Bob Proctor has known the answer to this question and shown it to thousands, it’s now your turn. And he wants to tell you that there is a science — a formula — to get rich. There’s a certain way of doing things that brings riches. For centuries this blueprint has been proven to make anyone know how to get rich.
So before you waste your time trying out 99 ways blindly, get this one formula that will transform your financial future.

Challenge Your Anxieties
We all have dreams and most of us have dreams about living the good life, having plenty of time to spend with our families or being able to retire in comfort.
Past disappointments tend to limit our willingness to take the risks necessary to become successful. Fear of failure keeps many people from becoming successful internet marketers.
Change happens so rapidly that it’s very difficult to keep up with the latest internet marketing strategies. So how do we find the wisdom and the courage to take the next step on our journey to achieving our goals?
Mindset Is Critical
Sir Winston Churchill once said, “Success is measured by your ability to maintain enthusiasm between failures.”
Every day my inbox is filled with advertisements for newer and better ways to perform internet marketing. But which ones are legitimate and which are merely scams? In many cases, you have to try the product to find out if it’s the right one for you.
Success Personality
One Gallup organization in-depth study of the “success personality” explored the attitudes and traits of 1500 randomly selected individuals from Who’s Who in America. The three most significant traits they found were:
1) Common Sense – the ability to simplify a complex subject by getting to the core of what matters
2) Knowing One’s Field – first-hand knowledge as well as support from experienced coaches, and
3) Self-Reliance
Noted author, Brian Tracy, has stated, “All successful men and women are big dreamers. Winners visualize and then realize their perfect futures.”
Success Formula
If you want to achieve your dreams, apply the following success formula:
1) Determine your desired outcome(s)
2) Be proactive – meaning, do something!
3) Notice and feedback results
4) If the results are not what you want, change your strategy
For home business owners, the ability to maintain enthusiasm between failures (or more likely, between massive sales) will, indeed, separate the successful ones from the unsuccessful ones.
And one of the best ways to maintain your enthusiasm is to associate yourself with successful people – teachers, mentors and other gurus who’ve “been there and done that” and are already successful.

Goal Setting Tools
While science is at its most advanced state nowadays, there remains to be a lot of things to juggle for a typical career-oriented man. For most family-oriented men, there is the burden of juggling work, job, family and other factors involved in one’s social life.
You can read more on Time Management & Goal Setting
The answer is Productivity. Many highly successful women are often asked what their secret to success is. And more often than not, they have the same response, and that is Productivity. However, although this is almost an expected response, many are still surprised at how Productivity really works.
Time Management is simply the proper allocation of time for certain priorities. First, the tasks have to be arranged in a certain way where it is clustered into sectors and listed according to urgency and importance. For example, the important parts of your life are friends, you parents, your home, your art, and your family. You have to know which one to drop first whenever you need to do something.
After that, you will need help from some Productivity Gear designed to aid you in the correct process of prioritization AND remembering that order.

Goal Setting Tools & Time Management Techniques
There are a lot of women who need lots of reminder when it comes to taking care of medium sized businesses. Often, they are too home based that they are disregarded as unimportant. If you are one of them, buy some quick-and-easy Reminders. What’s good about technology is you can probably put a reminder just about everywhere! Mobile phones nowadays have built-in organizing device of your choices, post-its are available in different sorts, and even the good old fridge door magnets have come in a lot of forms.
What is important is that the frequency of the reminding is now being increased. This is good for Time Management & Goal Setting because it keeps you aware of the things which you have to do especially if they’re urgent.
The organzing device of your choice + Watch Tandem
These are staples for just about every busybody from the college beadle to the corporate leader. The organizing device of your choice is something that holds your appointments and it’s also a tiny little space for some writing. People who are busy all the time usually have contact numbers of random people they meet, gifts for a not-so-relevant birthday party that he has to go to or some sudden brilliant ideas that come to mind. For these and more, you will need an organziing device of your choice. It has to be a little notebook, just enough to fit in a handbag, and should be made of durable material. You must bring your organizer with you every day, in case you need to list something down as a reminder.
Moreover, the perfect complement to an organizing device of your choice is a high-quality watch. You may have experienced running late for an appointment just because your watch didn’t work well. What’s worse is that the person you’re meeting wouldn’t even believe you. This blunder can easily be avoided. Just get a quality watch that does not even have to be that expensive. Having a good sense of time is practically the first step in Productivity.
The Perfect mindset
It’s pressuring to know that you have a lot of things in your hand and it seems like you can’t even do anything about it. Don’t tip over.
Moreover, keep a be on your toes kind of mindset as you maneuver your way into your busy life. Sure, there are times when you distance yourself from your organizing device of your choice. It is a painful reminder of the busy life they lead for some. It’s perfectly alright to feel some sence of urgency but take some time off once in a while. You must never neglect yourself in your list of tasks.

Be Proactive
Dreams, without actions, will never generate the kind of success you’re looking for.
Action is the precursor to success.
Becoming a success and realizing your dreams requires hard work – and action. Don’t let fear of failure keep you from taking action. Realizing one’s dreams is an individual responsibility.
Thomas Edison is remembered as a great inventor, but before he succeeded, he invented a lot of things that failed. Abraham Lincoln is remembered as a great President, but before he became President, he failed in business multiple times. Before Babe Ruth set the record for home runs, he struck out many times.
Just like Babe Ruth, we first must step up to the plate if we hope to hit that home run, or even get a base hit.
I’m sure Babe Ruth got free “walks” many times – but that was because he was such a great hitter that the pitchers were afraid to let him bat. In order to become successful, we’re going to have to do the legwork required to get there.
Don’t Procrastinate!
How many times have you heard someone say, “Don’t push me, I’ll do it later”, when all they ever do is sit on the couch, snooze, or play golf (the “Round Tu-It” trap).
But taking any action to realize their goals?
Oh, no, “I’ll get around to it.
Don’t waste your life sitting on the couch.
Your dreams are important to you, but the only way to realize them and realize success in life that you both want and deserve is to get up off the couch and take some action.
What could you do today to increase the chances that you’ll realize your dreams?

Do reptiles get warm and fuzzy and fall in love? What nonsense is that? Given that you have a reptile in you, its very important to understand what that means. Yuck! Yep, it is called your “limbic system” it is the part of the brain that we inherited from our dinosaur ancestors.
Think like a reptile for a moment, what would you fear, what would you be interested in? What reaction would you have to the new thing? For now, let’s pretend reptiles only feel hunger, fear, sexual desire and of course, self-preservation.
Imagine you are still that reptile, and you see something new. How would you react? You’d probably just be afraid and move away or try and eat it.
Now step back into “you” again. How many times has your inner reptile made you react the same way? We think that being a human is just one thing. We did not evolve as one “unit”, over time many millions of parts combined to produce what we are today. Our brains are at least three major parts: the reptile brain, the mid-brain (emotions) and the higher brain (rational thought). The LEGO construction set is not just in our brains. Even our DNA in our cells, needs something called RNA to work with the rest of the body. So even the thing we think of as most representative of “us” our DNA, is in a sense foreign in our bodies since it needs RNA to communicate with the rest of the cells for it. Even our cells are made of parts that evolved from different animals or bacteria even. Our genetic ancestry is stored in a part of the cell called a mitochondria which we only get from out mothers. Don’t tell your girlfriend or wife!
Our being the sons and daughters of Eve is absolutely right. Go back through our ancestors, and a mere 6,000 generations ago we all were African from one single migration. In terms of human evolution, that’s just a blink of an eye, and we’re all really African. The genetic difference between all members of the human race is barely measurable. The chimpanzee, our nearest relative, is on 2-3% different from us.
So what’s with the evolutionary tour? Let’s look at the limbic system again, it doesn’t really know about other parts of the brain, it can’t, it only really cares about survival. It does not care or even understand being rich, happy or fulfilled. Survival. Yep, just survival.
The subconscious is where the action is though. No one really knows which part of the brain it lives in, but it really does exist and much more importantly, it is where your accumulated beliefs live. Also, the subconscious does not understand negatives or have a sense of humor and is VERY literal in its interpretation of what you feed it.
The mid-brain has a richer emotional life and is aware far more than the limbic system, but it views life through an emotional lens. There goes the idea of the brain as a super computer. The cartoon of the brain as logical is just simply not true. In fact, our thoughts often cause us to not take action, because we come up with so many reasons not to.
Want an example, when you are at a store and the attendant comes over and starts to sell to you, if you are marginally keen, what’s the most common phrase people use? I’ll ____________ it.
Notice that interesting second word? Pure intellect only there. Thought tends to lead to more thought. May I give you the phrase anyway? “I’ll think about it”.
So in the end, we usually make emotional decisions and then justify them afterwards. Just ask anyone who just bought product X over product Y. It boils down to the fact that they liked one more than the other. The features of the product did not make the decision, they were used as justifications afterwards. Our beliefs about which product was best for our desired lifestyle made the choice for us. Guess what happened next? Someone walked into the same store just after you did, and for them product Y was so obviously better than X, only a fool would by X. Is person A or B right? There are no “right” answers. Take your pick. The actions each took, were about beliefs about the products, not the actual products.
So what about our larger lives? What role does belief play there? If beliefs can prompt us to take action, they can also stop us from taking action too. Let’s pretend you have a strong belief you can’t swim, well, you weren’t born with that belief, you developed it either because of an experience of yours or someone close to you, this in turn will stop you from learning to swim, because you believe you can’t. So your belief that you can’t swim stops you from learning to swim!
Now let’s apply that to money. Scary! The dreaded “M” word. The girls like a different word with “M” that scares boys, this one drives everyone crazy: Money. There are few subjects on which there are more experts than around money. Remember how “literal” minded the subconscious is. Everyone has an opinion about how to get it, who should or should not have some and so on. Louise Hay (author of You can Heal your Life) says it’s easier to teach a course about sex than about money.
Why? Well, because money is an essential ingredient to living in the 21st century, it is the means by which we can live our large dreams and achieve the kind of freedom deep down we all believe we can have. Here’s where our beliefs pop up with a thousand and one reasons why we cannot have this kind of life. Have you heard of the phrase “filthy rich”? In that belief system, you have to be filthy to be rich. Honestly, if being rich meant being a filthy person, would you really want to be rich. Does filthy sound like something you want to be? That comes before the rich.
How about “money is the root of all evil”? That’s another good one. Bad is one thing, but evil is a whole different thing altogether. Bad attitude is not really nasty, it just upsetting conventional social customs, especially those of the majority. Evil is a conscious and deliberate causing of harm to others for no purpose. Just reading that probably gives you the willies. Imagine your reptile brain reacting to that one! Yup, that’s got “danger” written all over it, don’t you think?
It is our deepest, hidden beliefs that are guiding our lives. We are not even aware of these beliefs most of the time. But these beliefs guide us like a laser bomb to its target. What are we targeting though, happiness or misery? Depends on your beliefs about you, money, relationships and all the rest. If you are interested in changing those beliefs for more productive ones, The Science of Getting Rich is about wealth in more than just financial terms. You can also check out The Power of Simplicity.
You see, our reptile brain is alive and well, so are all the other parts of us. In our emotions, in our feelings, our thoughts and above all in our subconscious beliefs. With all this cast of characters, will the play of your life be a box office success or a flop?
As we chuck out the junk in our lives, we experience spiritual growth. Given that spirit is perfect already, we’ll leave that one to another post.
Would you like to proactively start making money while you’re still writing a book?
It is estimated that only 5% of authors become a bestseller.
What’s worse is that around one in a hundred authors actually make any significant money by writing . In fact most authors find it very hard to earn back what they’ve invested.
What does the 1% do differently? Even more important, can you become one of the few?
They’ve learned the secret for how to write a book, make it a bestseller and earn lots of money.
It’s not just luck, because some are able to do repeatedly.
There are many success factors to writing a good book, but I would like to focus on the three key success factors to writing a bestseller and making money from it.
If you figure out and implement these factors, you could add an additional 6 or 7-figures to your income from each book you write from now on.
Key Factor 1 – Design a business from each book so that each book has great products that go with it.
Your book is more than a lot of paper and ink. It transfers your knowledge for people to use and enjoy via a traditional format. You will achieve more success when you realize that you can communicate that same information in other acceptable forms that sell just as effectively. When you’re planning your next book, proactively plan your other products and services so that your book fits into your business in an intentional way. Not only you have an additional income stream, but also a very effective marketing system, because everything sells the book and the book sells everything.
Key Factor 2 – As your write the book, add in all of the necessary ingredients and most of the desirable ones, and you’ll find your book is much easier to advertise, market and sell.
There are a few ingredients that are essential to creating a bestseller, and some must be designed in from the start. There are also some highly desirable features which increase the marketability and value of your book. For example, you must have an ISBN number and a bar code, plus certain bindings and features so that retail stores can sell your book for you. There are also about 10 features that make your book much easier to promote and are therefore very desirable. Having testimonials, resources listings, captivating stories that make a point, relevant quotes and an index are some of the top features of every New York Times Bestseller.
Key Factor 3 – Be proactive and begin your book pre-sales while writing your book and guide pre-sales to as much possible so that your books will be purchased in the way and time that will do you the most good.
If you want to make your book a bestseller, then you should learn what it takes to do so. For example, not all sales of books count toward bestselling status and it’s extremely important to know which ones do. Keep your attention to only those that matter and concentrate the sales during the best span of time. If you have done your homework and created the right amount of sales you’ll have a guaranteed winner.
ACTION POINT: If you want to learnhow to write a book that makes money and becomes a bestseller, then use the recipe that top authors use to successfully hit that goal. Make a decision to use the Key Factors outlined above and keep your eye on the ball, and you’ll hit a home run every time.
As a motivational speaker and consultant, (during my inspirational speeches) I often ask: How often do you become conscious of the side of your own nose? And, if you wear specs, when was the last time you were distracted by the frames? I would guess that your answer to both questions is “not very often”. Am I correct?
This observation is actually surprising when you consider that both your nose and eyeglasses are within your field of view. (My inspirational and motivational speaker audiences are by and large very taken aback.) Which raises the question, because they impinge upon your visual field, how come your nose and glasses aren’t a visual distraction? Here’s the reason why: It’s because your brain filters them out.
In truth, only a minuscule portion of the vast amount of sensory information detected by your senses ever reaches your awareness. Trying to assimilate all this sensory content would be completely impractical. Filtering out all the ‘unimportant’ sensory information, including your nose and glasses, is a key brain activity.
How come – as a motivational speaker - did I think it was important to bring this freaky visual anomaly to your attention? Answer: Simply because (in basic terms) it raises a fundamental issue. This biological oddity got me thinking, does a limited perspective mean limited success? Bottom line, numerous characteristics of our brain filter have a direct effect on our success. For instance, it directs our attention towards our expectations. In this report I’m going to consider a extremely important element of the brain sieve, how it tends towards the negative.
A Negative Focus
The brain sieve focuses your mind towards the negative elements of your circumstances. Need convincing? Then try this easy experiment. (Incidentally I routinely advocate this exercise in my inspirational healthcare programs.)
Draw a line down the middle of a sheet of paper. Now, for the rest of the day, when you “think positive” sketch a “Smiley Face” on one side of the line. Conversely, every time you have a downbeat notion, mark a cross on the other side. Try this test and note which half of the paper you cover first. Most people cover the negative side of the paper much more rapidly than the other side.
What we require is a wider perspective, the ability to perceive the optimistic aspects of a circumstance so we can counterbalance our natural predisposition to drift towards the pessimistic. Why is this important? For the reason that a positive outlook is predictive of success in many areas from sales to sports.
A Motivational Speaker’s Answer…
If you find a downbeat thought pops into your skull, attempt these straightforward action steps:
Tip 1: Recognize the possibility that you’re not considering an similarly valid, more optimistic outlook.
Tip 2: Then, seek a broader, more neutral perspective.
Tip 3: Ask yourself straightforward questions. For example: How bad is this irritation really? Will I still care about it in three years time?
Finally, being conscious of your brain sieve will help you to seize control of your emotions. Take control of your thinking and keep an eye on what happens. Take it from a motivational speaker, you’ll be shocked!
What is your life purpose? Are you, like so many people, so busy that you barely even care? But ignoring purpose can negatively impact your wellness. You can get more Words of Wisdom here.
There are only Three Great Games Of Adulthood. Only 3. And one of the great games of adulthood is Significance. Each of us as adults has to figure out how to live a life that matters to ourselves and others. How to live a life that has meaning. How to look good to ourselves and others.
You can have a million dollars in the bank. You can have a loving spouse. And, if you aren’t winning at the Great Game of Significance, you will often feel empty inside, or that your life is meaningless, or what’s the point.
Then you may drink or do drugs to anesthetize that feeling. The pain of meaninglessness is Life’s way of saying you need to focus on purpose and worth and living from a different place. Pain is a teacher. Pain usually suggests change. So when we feel the pain of emptiness, like we are just going through the motions, this is nature saying pay attention to richness, pay attention to meaningfulness, pay attention to purpose. You can get more Self Improvement Ideas here.
enerally, people are trained to think that life is about money and relationship. Fame and fortune. But these are just two of the three great games. Valuable, but incomplete. You can’t ignore significance and paying attention to what will give your life meaning.
When we are losing at Significance, Life let’s us know. We feel things like boredom and a sense that something’s missing from our lives. We may question the meaning of it all. Buying more toys or going to another cocktail party may start to seem worthless. This is Life saying pay attention to what gives you meaning and satisfaction.
What, then, is your purpose? What gives your life a sense of meaning and value? Well, we each must find our own answers, and thinking about it, spending some time on these questions, can pay off big over the long term. Two areas to look are a) finding and following your passions in life and b) giving back and being of service.
Obviously, there is much more to this whole issue of purpose and meaning. But playing the Great Game of Significance is a great way to add to your satisfaction in life over the years to come. So make sure you spend some time regularly focusing on what gives your life significance! You can get more Self Help Insights here.
Of course, I was taught French during my school days but never took it seriously. In my honest opinion, something like that just wasn't of any importance to me, and probably never would be.
Like everyone I know, you just figure that English is more popular and that you can get along anywhere with your own knowledge of the English language, right?
How dead wrong I was.
It really became apparent how wrong I had been when I was sent to France for an assignment through my work. I was like a real fish out of water.
Literally everywhere I went, restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, offices, transport - everyone was speaking French. Finding somebody who could speak my native tongue was like trying to find someone in England who could speak Swahili.
Whew, I really felt lost.
That experience nonetheless, I still made a silent resolve not to learn the language, since I wasn't going to be coming back to France.
Alas! On returning home, my superior informed me that I would be going back again three months later. Not only that, but this time I would be staying for much longer than the last time.
I protested, but she didn't bulge.
Right that second I made the decision to make sure I had learned French before those three short months were over.
Being a lover of audio books, I went right ahead and bought some “Teach yourself French” foreign language audio books which I played while preparing for work in the morning, while exercising, during my commute to and from work and any other time when my hands were busy but my mind was free.
To be honest, I didn't really pay too much attention to the "Teach yourself French" lessons in the beginning, because it was all very strange to me.
But as time went on, it all started to make sense. What was really beneficial, and what really helped me to grasp the language in the end, was the translations to English for any of the words spoken in French.
This really confirmed what I had read sometime ago about the power of listening. It is no wonder that the good lord gave us two ears and one mouth. This means just listening is powerful enough to learn virtually any language.
I couldn't believe it, but I gradually started to pick up the language and was able to master quite an large amount of French just six weeks after I had started.
You can imagine the surprise on the face of my boss when, 10 weeks later, I spoke French to her without mixing it with a single word in English!
She couldn't believe it and asked me how I was able to do it. I told her - audio books!
Not only was she very impressed, she made me the head of the delegation she was sending to represent our company in France.
She made sure every other member of my team got their foreign language audio books and did exactly what I had done.
When I eventually got back to France 3 months later, I was no longer "a fish out of water".
It was fantastic, and I was amazed that I had been able to do this without hiring a tutor, going to college or night school, or even reading any French tutorial books.
All of this was possible within 3 months just listening to French audio book lessons.
Do you know what was most intriguing about this? I did this all in my "free" time. There were no extra committments of time needed from me, I just used the same time that I had wasted in the past.
Now, if I could do this within just three months, I am absolutely certain that anyone else can do it too.
I can honestly say that if there is any foreign language that you are itching to learn, do exactly as I did and you'll be amazed by the results in just three months, simply from the power of audio books.
There are several audio book versions of many books on learning foreign languages that you can get on the Internet.
