Count to 10.

This is what some mothers tell their kidsand is works if they are angry.

Count to ten when you recognise stress coming. You can do it quietly or speak it out. It does not matter.

This is often all you need to do.

Some people prefer to count down from ten to zero. This way it feels as if you are scaling down stress and at zero, it is gone.

Inhale deeply.

Inhale taking deep long slow breaths. Through your nostrils slowly breathe in filling your lungs. Hold your breath to the count of four. Then slowly exhale through your mouth.

As you continue to do this a few times, you will notice as your breathing becoming slower, you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. This, like counting, is an easy way to reduce your stress level.

Furthermore, you can, as you breathe in and hold your breath visualise all the stress in your body slowly moving into your lungs and as you exhale, you are forcing stress out for a calmer and more relaxed you.

You can also use a stress relief squeez ball.

Get up and walk about.

This is a good way to gain stress relief quickly.

When the task is very stressful, take a break, just walk away from it. I do not mean walk away from it for good. You are removing the problem temporarily. It gives you time to calm down and come to grips with the situation.

By doing this you are removing a stressful problem from the forefront of your mind and allow your Subconscious Mind to find solution options. Stanley Morgan, the eponymous financier, when he could not find a solution to a problem, would stop what he was doing and play solitaire. It was’nt long before in his mind, several ideas came foward.

A walk in the park is a good idea. There is something relaxing when you are near to nature. You tend to synchronise with the earth’s frequency. As your brainwave level slows down you enjoy tranquillity and peace. You become relaxed and calm. If you are home, clean the house. Get the vacuum cleaner out. From your mind you are removing the problem. When you do this, you will notice a different feeling and approach to your task.

In addition exercise relieves stress.

It is recognised that exercise reduces stress.

Write a Journal or talk to someone.

An excellent stress buster. You are sharing your problem by talking to someone. If that someone is experienced in your field, you may get some invaluable tips. A wider approach to your problem develops. It may feel, by sharing your problem, you are no longer isolated. You are not alone.

A single thought or idea that could be the solution to your problem, is perhaps the best stress buster. You become focussed and energised because you can visualise the successful outcome. Your stress will changes to the desired stress that produces maximum efficiency.

Writing a journal is also a good stress buster. It highlights the specific items that stress you. Transferring it into words on paper means you can choose whether to discard or keep. It releases the stress. So if you are alone, or there is no one to talk to when things are going wrong, write it down in your stress journal. Ink on paper is the next best thing.

Relaxing Zen Music

Taking too much of anything is bad for the health. A little bit of stress is actually good for us, as it could serve to help you function at your best. However, stress that seems a little too much could take a physical, as well as mental, toll to your body. Try to manage your stress in order for depression or anxiety to be prevented.

You may be asking yourself how should I do this then? Follow these helpful tips and advice to help in managing and preventing stress.

Write it down, schedule it out, and above everything else, try to relax.

It is best to write down all the things that seems to be beyond your reach. You will find an organized-to-do-list much easier to manage than having errands all crumpled up in your head. Writing down your ideas, and putting a specific schedule and time to do them, helps anyone manage activities one piece at a time. Crossing out an activity that has already been accomplished is very rewarding and could actually help you feel more at ease when busy accomplishing the other tasks at hand.

Focus,relax, and take it easy.

At least, try not to expend too much energy on activities that are currently not priorities. This is in order for your energy to be not easily expended on the tasks that are not that important, at least for now.

Delegate, delegate, delegate.

You need not do everything all at once, and you need not do all of your tasks on your own. Ask for guidance, get help, or pay for help.  If there is a nagging feeling of being overwhelmed coming up, hire someone to mow the lawn or get a sitter for your children. The feeling of being pressed to complete something on time will somehow be eliminated if tasks are delegated. It can take the burden off of unnecessary worry and anxiety. Moreover, it is easier checking up on how things are, than worrying yourself sick doing everything on your own, at the same time.

Give yourself some well deserved time off.

You deserve it. Acknowledging your accomplishments, no matter how big or small, is an effort that is necessary before getting on to the next tasks and activities. It reduces stress and could even put you in a better mood for doing the next task.

make sure to give yourself a break.

You need it to be more focused. A ten to fifteen minute break during your work is necessary. Go visit a coffee shop nearby, take a quick walk, or do anything to get your mind off work, at least for a while. This is necessary to refresh and recharge. Believe it or not, you can also take some time at work and sit with your eyes closed as you visualize a peaceful landscape or a relaxing scene. Hum your favorite relaxing tune if you like.Your mind and your muscles will love you for these stress free moments.

Relax and be cool. Doing so makes you healthier, happier, and a lot more productive.
