Count to 10.
This is what some mothers tell their kidsand is works if they are angry.
Count to ten when you recognise stress coming. You can do it quietly or speak it out. It does not matter.
This is often all you need to do.
Some people prefer to count down from ten to zero. This way it feels as if you are scaling down stress and at zero, it is gone.
Inhale deeply.
Inhale taking deep long slow breaths. Through your nostrils slowly breathe in filling your lungs. Hold your breath to the count of four. Then slowly exhale through your mouth.
As you continue to do this a few times, you will notice as your breathing becoming slower, you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed. This, like counting, is an easy way to reduce your stress level.
Furthermore, you can, as you breathe in and hold your breath visualise all the stress in your body slowly moving into your lungs and as you exhale, you are forcing stress out for a calmer and more relaxed you.
You can also use a stress relief squeez ball.
Get up and walk about.
This is a good way to gain stress relief quickly.
When the task is very stressful, take a break, just walk away from it. I do not mean walk away from it for good. You are removing the problem temporarily. It gives you time to calm down and come to grips with the situation.
By doing this you are removing a stressful problem from the forefront of your mind and allow your Subconscious Mind to find solution options. Stanley Morgan, the eponymous financier, when he could not find a solution to a problem, would stop what he was doing and play solitaire. It was’nt long before in his mind, several ideas came foward.
A walk in the park is a good idea. There is something relaxing when you are near to nature. You tend to synchronise with the earth’s frequency. As your brainwave level slows down you enjoy tranquillity and peace. You become relaxed and calm. If you are home, clean the house. Get the vacuum cleaner out. From your mind you are removing the problem. When you do this, you will notice a different feeling and approach to your task.
In addition exercise relieves stress.
It is recognised that exercise reduces stress.
Write a Journal or talk to someone.
An excellent stress buster. You are sharing your problem by talking to someone. If that someone is experienced in your field, you may get some invaluable tips. A wider approach to your problem develops. It may feel, by sharing your problem, you are no longer isolated. You are not alone.
A single thought or idea that could be the solution to your problem, is perhaps the best stress buster. You become focussed and energised because you can visualise the successful outcome. Your stress will changes to the desired stress that produces maximum efficiency.
Writing a journal is also a good stress buster. It highlights the specific items that stress you. Transferring it into words on paper means you can choose whether to discard or keep. It releases the stress. So if you are alone, or there is no one to talk to when things are going wrong, write it down in your stress journal. Ink on paper is the next best thing.
Lets look at three different scenarios.
A sales rep is having a difficult time during the recession. His recent records show poor sales. He is due to meet an important, big new client and this could be an opportunity that could save his career. Success will decide whether he is still in employment.
A man is desperately and madly in love with this popular and attractive female. To him there is no future without her but there are other men trying to attract her attention. The table is set for two, the ring is in his hand and the red roses lie near by. She is due any minute and he will ask her to marry him and he does not know whether she will say yes or no.
A woman walking home alone late at night. The street is dimly lit. Suddenly she hears footsteps ahead of her. A group of people wearing hoodies is walking towards her. She now hears footsteps behind her. Turning around, she sees some young people walking towards her.
In all three situations a person becomes very alert and focussed even though potential danger is only in one of these scenarios. The body goes into the fight and fright reaction.
This is a reaction in humans and animals that developed a long time ago to protect us from life threatening dangers. In this reaction, the brain triggers the release of the hormones adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisone. The remarkable changes that occur are caused by these hormones.
The breathing becomes faster and deeper, the heart speeds up, the pupils dilate, the mouth becomes dry, the skin becomes cold and clammy and hairs on the back of the neck stand up.
You may have an urge to urinate, open your bowels or vomit. This is the brain trying to make you lighter and move faster during ‘flight’.
These changes are preparing the body for action. You are in a state of heightened awareness. All your senses are sharpened. Your hearing, sense of smell and your sight are all sharpened. Your body is primed and ready to go.
Your rapidly beating heart pumps extra blood to the brain and the muscles. By breathing faster and deeper, more oxygen is transported by the blood to the muscles and brain. In addition blood is temporarily diverted from other important organs such as the kidneys, immune system and the gut to enable more blood to the muscles.
The fight and fright reaction is primeval, developed in early humans to survive amongst dangerous reptiles and mammals. Unfortunately the brain cannot differentiate between real and percieved dangers or threats. The reaction is the same.
The fight or fright reaction is triggered in all three scenarios.
Panic attacks are in reality fright or fright reactions and, during an attack, to the individual the threat or danger is very real. Rationality suddenly disappear and there is no where to run to or no one to fight.
In stress, the fight or flight reaction is triggered even thought there is no threat to our lives and can harm the body. Persistent stress caqn cause disease.
Understanding how the fight or fright reaction is triggered in stress will help you make some sense about the symptoms of stress you experience with stress.

Now I am sure that we would all admit to becoming a little stressed from time to time. It is knowing what to do about it which is the problem for most of us. I am the type of person who used to stress about the smallest of things, this stress affected my sleep, my skin and my work life. I have now learnt and discovered ways to reduce the stress. I am going to write about these ways in this article.
I have had to admit a number of things to myself over the last couple of years, for example one of my weaknesses from the past has been my attitude to life. I basically used to think in a very negative way, I did not seem to really enjoy life and I also felt that I was rather an unlucky person. In reality I was actually fine but as you may be able to tell I would feel sorry for myself.
I am now able to think in a far more positive light and this has helped me no end.
Meditation has also helped me to think in a more upbeat manner. The main area where I find meditation helps is to enable my mind to think in a much clearer manner.
Another successful stress reduction strategy is too start to exercise on a regular basis. This is good for many other reasons as well as stress including aiding fitness and weight loss. I have a pet dog now and taking it for around six walks a day helps to to keep fit and to also get out of the house when things start to get a bit stressed.
All of these things have helped me in many ways including to overcome stammering; this was a problem that I had to endure for eighteen years of my life. At the time, before the internet was born, it was quite difficult to receive credible stammering advice, which just added to the overall frustration.
I am now able to live a happy, confident, fluent life and am working as a well known web promotion specialist as well as being able to offer people cheap calls.
Without doubt hypnosis is a very effective stress treatment of stress. When an individual feels he does not have the resources to cope with a task he is confronted with stress develops. Hypnosis changes belief, preception and capability so the subject no longer feels he is unable to cope.
90% of diseases are directly due to stress, said Dr. Lipton. Vital organs are straved of nutrients and oxygen by persistent stress. This is fine on occasions but when it becomes persistent, diseases are likely.
It is not the situation you confront that is the cause of stress but by the way you perceive this situation and whether you feel you have the coping mechanisms to deal with it. hypnotherapyis a very effective treatment for stress because it changes your perception, expectation and belief.
Following hypnosis treatment, things that trigger extreme stress are converted to easy tasks because, you have the belief that you have the resources to handle what you are faced with little effort on your part.
Hypnosis takes you down to a deep relaxed state and to brainwave level theta. At theta brainwave level, the barriers that block unwanted information from reaching the Subconscious Mind, ease their tight grip and the hypnotherapist can alter belief, attitude and expectation.
Hypnosis is without doubt a safe and powerful anxiety and stress treatment. Another recommended stress treatment is meditation. It is, however, very difficult to see how a stressed person can relax, and if he or she cannot relax, meditation becomes very difficult. It is better to have hypnosis as an immediate treatment and then introduce meditation for the long term and overall life enhancement.
Anyone who has experienced stress will tell you stress is an unpleasant thing. It takes your libido away. It steals enjoyment out of your life. Anger, rage, anxiety and depression are symptoms you can develop. Creativity lessens during stress and unnecessary mistakes increase.
Worse of all, because it triggers the fight or flight reaction, it shuts off vital nutrients to some organs of the body and stimulating the heart. This is why research has shown it is responsible for 90% of all diseases. In industry there are millions of days a year lost through stress and the health cost is enormous.
Attitude to stress can be changed by hypnosis and provides not just short term stress control but coping skills for the long term.
During hypnosis, the hypnotist will give you very powerful and effective post hypnotic suggestions not just on how to cope with your current situation but generally on all aspects of your life. Things a hypnotist will say are, “You are relaxed and calm. You will confront any situation calmly and know that if it can be done, you are very capable and competent to do it.” Effective post hypnotic suggestion will help you to adopt the attitude, “What is fast and best way of doing this?” rather than, “I don’t think I can do this.”
So have hypnotherapy rather than drugs, counselling, CBT or psychotherapy for safe and better control of stres. Bear in mind that hypnosis is simply a state of heightened awareness and your brain becomes alert and receptive. The Subconscious Mind is not analytical or filters like the left brain. While remaining in a deep relaxed state, the Subconscious MInd simply accepts positive suggestions.
As a parent it is important that we understand what potential problems our child has. Most children have certain things that they worry about or even fear. In this article, I write about the types of fears that this might be and about how we can help our children to cope and to get through life in the best possible and stress-free way.
I am by now a child social worker and what I write within this article is just my own personal opinion. I actually work within the stammering therapy industry; I am also involved with a DVD authoring company and with a group of cost reduction consultants.
The majority of children are more than capable of being able to pick up on the anxieties of their parents. They may hear arguments about money and can then start to worry themselves about the financial situation their family may be in. I am a parent myself and try where possible to only discuss serious issues with my partner when the children are out or are asleep. I am quick to re-assure my own child if I am of the opinion that he has overheard a conversation that in truth I would have preferred he had not listened to.
Children may also worry that their parents may break up and that they will end up living apart. They will no doubt hear that this has happened to their friends and may wonder and stress about how their lives would change if this happened to them.
My children have told me that they worry and that they fear that one of their parents may die in the near future. It is quite difficult to explain to them that this is unlikely to happen as it obviously could. I try and laugh it off which may not be the best policy, by stating that I am still very young and that I have no plans to leave this planet in the near future. I explain to them the age that the average male will live to in our country and that normally, I hope, makes them feel better.
Another form of stress and anxiety for many children, is of course, attending school. Will they be able to cope and understand the work? Will they be able to obtain a good examination mark and a good report? Will they be able to make their parents proud of them? I have told my own children not to worry about these issues and to just try their best.
Socialising and meeting friends can also bring its own tensions. I am sure that we all remember our own childhoods and the fact that we regularly break friends but that we normally, eventually, make up again. It can be quite stressful when friends have a disagreement or argument. When this happens to my children, I make a point of saying that it has been the fourth time in a month that you and Amy as an example, have had a falling out. Your sure to make friends again in the near future.
As children get a bit older there is then the challenge of meeting a member of the opposite sex. We all know the problems and strains that this can bring. At this time I think it is just a matter of being there for your children and getting them through these difficult years the best and easiest way possible.
What is stress?
Build up of stress from anxiety can become a heavy difficulty and there are lots of factors which may make a contribution to this. These mainly occur thru day-to-day living.
It is possible to work out through a person’s life just how they’re going to cope with stress and anxiety. Natural methods and medical methods means to manage stress and anxiety.
Manage Stress with the Medical Method
Anziety and stress may be eliminated through prescription tablets from your doctor or thru treatment programs in order to find the only route to cope with stress and anxiety. Many sufferers discover that combos of these are the best way to manage stress and anxiety.
However, using medication can be considered as a deleterious technique to control stress and anxiety as it doesn’t solve the first problem; it only addresses the symptoms of stress and anxiety.
A issue with the medical system to control stress is that there is a likelihood that dependencies on medication will take place. This creates more issues as you attempt to manage stress and anxiety.
Medical methods are thus helpful in treating the symptoms. However they may lead to you more long term problems.
Dealing with Stress and Anxiety through the Natural Method
The natural methods to control stress and anxiety do not involve the use of medication. Alternatives to medical methods include acupuncture, massage and aromatherapy. They are a good method to combat stress and anxiety because they act as a therapeutic mechanism.
Recognizing when you are stressed
A successful method to control stress and anxiety is thru knowing what stress is, what it feels like for you and in what situations these feelings occur. When you’re able to work out the situations that cause stress you will begin to feel calmer, feeling that you’re in control of yourself.
Many people manage stress and anxiety through planning their days. Contingency plans therefore help through knowing what to expect across the day.

As scientific research shows, the energy generated by us day, which we as a matter of fact don’t use up, and which can later on harm us by being recreated in other ways, such as stress and even verbal or physical aggression. This generally presses all the workers especially the ones who work under pressure, generally work in an office who need to interact with several clients a day. There are few things in life that are as good as a back massage to relieve tension and melt away stress. You can enjoy in a massage at a gym or a spa, but you will find them to be pricey. But it is much better to invest in a hand held massager that will cost you exactly the same. By doing this, you can spend hours enjoying in the fine massage. I agree that a back massager may not give the benefits of a full hand massage, but it will definitely help you get rid of all those knots from your back and remove the stress you’ve been gathering all day long.
You will easily find a hand held massager in a store near your home, it’s very easy to find one and use it. Muscle relaxation and knots removal will be easy, you only need few batteries to power up those hard rubber nodules and make some vibrations. Some brands also offer heat for really deep penetration into your back muscles and tissue.
When you use the vibration of massager for 10 minutes, all back pain and knots will be removed and forgotten about. Any muscle that you can reach can be treated with personal massager, but if you can’t reach it, get someone to do it for you. Make any day a stress relieving day for yourself.
Another option is to get a massage chair so you can traet your legs and your back. Massaging chairs usually have several rollers that are on the back and go all the way up your spine, together with some rubber nodes that will put a pressure to targeted areas on your back. There are shiatsu foot massager attachments that will help you get some relaxation to your legs.
You will find different programs and settings on massage chairs so you can have several different massage types. Different kinds of massages can work to eliminate stress, refresh you in the morning, or relax you at bedtime. In case you have a massage chair, you are in position to create your own programs and enjoy to the maximum.
