Review of the top rated Market Samurai
If I got to keep only one tool for my internet marketing arsenal, Market Samurai will get my vote. That is how impressed I am with this keyword selection tool.
Heck, it doesn’t even have an affiliate program yet – which means I am not getting anything even if you buy it from this website.
What Exactly Is Market Samurai?
Market Samurai is in essence a keyword tool but it is more than that. It goes so far ahead of any keyword tool that I have seen out there that I am using it more like a complete market research application.
Major Features of Market Samurai?
1. The Keyword Analysis module
2. The Rank Tracker module
3. SEO Competition Module
4. Find Content Module
5. Promotion Module
What Makes Market Samurai unique?
What distinguishes Market Samurai from its competitors is the depth of implementation for each of its’ module. As an example, Rank Tracker helps you to drill the search engine up to 500th place.
For highly competitive keywords, this gives you advance information of the movement of keywords that you are tracking compared to competitors who may be able to track to up to only 100th place.
On Competitor Analysis, there are of information that I did not even know before – but can be digged by Market Samurai in batches, saving you tons of time while at the same time gives you extremely valuable information. All these modules are also tightly integrated together, which means you are not only getting super value as compared to separate tools but actually is better than all of them combined together.
For example, once you have choose your keyword, you can send it directly to rank tracker. You can then add exactly which page you want to track with this keyword. From here in, you have all the information updated from a single interface.
The other thing that I can’t stop raving about is the quality of the tutorials. They may sound a bit technical for beginners but these are exactly the things that occupy professional SEO experts. With this tool and by following the tutorials, you have actually entered the elusive world of professional SEO.
Who Should Be Using Market Samurai?
All in all, as a keyword selector tool(and more)I give Market Samurai a full 10 out of 10. Intermediate and advanced marketers will run riot with this tool but I am sure a beginner can benefit greatly by putting a bit of effort.

There are a number of steps I always follow when optimizing a site for SEO (note these are just the high points, there are others that I don’t mention here, but these WILL take you a long way):
1) If it’s a new site, I will include the keywords in a non hyphenated domain name (if you can get a .edu or .gov suffix do so, otherwise a cheap .info will work just fine)
2) If possible, I will rename the URL to each money page to include the main keyword for that page.
3) Implement Google Analytics for the site and ensure the tracking script is added to every page.
4) Go through the “money” pages and make sure that the title, meta descriptions and meta keywords tags are different and optimized for the keywords on the page. In a competitive niche (over 1 million result pages in Google), I would limit the keywords to one main phrase, a couple of local modifiers and one or two more closely related terms per page.
5) Edit the non-money pages (i.e. pages that are irrelevant from an SEO perspective) and ensure the title and meta description tags are not duplicates of any of the money page tags. Google Webmaster tools will identify this for you once your site has been registered.
6) I nofollow any links to overhead pages from all of the pages on the site other than the home page. I leave the home page links as follow links, since I want the SEs to index all pages on the site and having privacy, contact, disclaimer, etc overhead pages enhance Google’s view of the “trust” for the site. On all other pages I just want the link to the home page to be a follow link, so I can build up the page rank of the home page. I handle this in Dreamweaver by using two different site templates. If your main keyword page is something other than the home page, modify your approach accordingly.
7) I then optimize each page’s content for it’s main keywords, modifiers and related terms. It’s important that each word or phrase used in the keyword META is found on the page to avoid keyword spam penalties.
At this point the on page optimization is complete enough to start with link building. As you may already know, building links is not a piece of cake. I use articles, blog posts, submit forms on relevant sites, reciprocal links, etc. There are ways to short cut this process, without going black or grey hat. As the internet has become increasingly sophisticated, the various professional fields in the internet marketplace have become more and more specialized. In each area there have been massive leaps in complexity, usability, design and technology.
Even just a few years back, there were relatively few separate specialties for people who work within the arena of the internet. These days there is a vast multitude of ways in which people can specialize online. These professionals include:
Web designers,Information architects,Google Adwords campaign managers, various types of program and software developers and last but not least, Search engine Optimization.
In my experience, most web designers these days don’t even know how to include Search Engine Optimisation in the sites that they design and build. There is ample proof of this; it is visible easily every day by just taking a look at what is out there. Sites that have empty, or in some cases, no Meta tags no headline tags and even in some cases, no title tags at all either! The most frustrating part of this is that all of these measures are very easy to include.
So where does that leave the buyer? It leaves them with a website that will no doubt look fantastic; however the chances are that few will ever see it. Let alone become customers of whatever service or product the site is offering. This seems to be particularly true in the case of websites that contain a lot of flash, it looks great, but it is heavy in the browser and as it is purely images, the search engines cannot read it, even if there are words as the words themselves are rendered as images not text.
Therefore, when shopping for a website designer, be aware that though most will have the words ‘SEO’ or ‘Search engine Optimization‘ somewhere within their marketing or sales material. It is a good idea to check that that they really do know what that means, many of them do not. The way to check it out is to look at sites they have already completed – particularly their own. Check to see if it has Meta tags such as the keyword and description meta tag, check to see if their title tags actually have something useful in them not just ‘welcome to company XYZ website’.
These things are very easy to check. The title tag is easily visible to you as you open the site in your browser, you will see it on the very top of your screen. To double check the other items you will need to view the source code, you can do this in Firefox by clicking on ‘View’ then on ‘Page Source’. This will show you all the code of the site, the meta tags should be near the top just after the the title tags.
Finally, check out the code to see if headline tags have been used. Between them should be the main title of the page, including the keywords that you want people to find your site with.

While TinyURL has been around since 2002, it’s only since the increase in the popularity of Twitter that URL shorteners like TinyURL and bit.ly have seen their use skyrocket. Twitter, which only allows for 140 characters in any message, has made the service of taking a longer URL and transforming it into a manageable link quite valuable.
Twitter aside there are other reasons why URL shorteners are useful. For SEO purposes search engines look at the keywords used in the URL. However links that are too long and wordy are not easily categorized and hard to share with friends in emails and social media sites. URL shorteners make it easier to share links and some services like tinyarro.ws actually lets users choose their own keywords.
Bit.ly has received a lot of positive attention lately because of its ability to track and compile link data. This comprehensive information is invaluable, as knowing your customers’ interests and what other sites they are visiting can allow you to create more targeted content resulting in higher conversion rates. (Click here for more info on SEO optimization)
Overall the best thing about URL shorteners is their ability to promote sharing. With the rise of texting, smartphones and Twitter, URL shorteners allow for more content to fit in less space, which makes sharing web content that much easier.
Mashable talks about the top five best reasons why URL shorteners are useful including the fact that they promote sharing, that they can provide users useful feautures, that they can be transformed into social media services, that they can track and compile click data and of course that they make links more manageable. Take a look at the complete list at http://mashable.com/2009/04/05/url-shorteners/
If you have done any sort of online marketing before, you may have heard about CPA marketing and wondered what it stood for. It stands for Cost per Action or Acquisition. You might wonder why choose CPA marketing, and yet as an income system, it offers several different options that are appreciated by many.
If you’re an advertiser, you’ll typically have a list of actions you want performed, and CPA allows affiliates to do these actions for you. You pay a rate based on how often the actions actually happen. However, to really see if the method is the right one for you, you should take a closer look at it.
With most methods of marketing, people are paying for direct sales, and people don not always like this. They like to get to know you and the product first, which you can achieve through this practice. You will typically be offering something like a free trial, taking a survey, filling out an email submission form or another action and creating a great reputation for yourself.
Make sure you are prepared and stand firmly behind your concepts when you apply as a CPA affiliate. Otherwise, you might find that you are not able to freely discuss things with people who would screen your offer, and you might be turned away. They do have a very strict eye when it comes to doing things well.
Finally, you should be aware that there are reasons some people don’t like this option. It’s relatively easy to fall behind if a product you’re working with suddenly disappears, and you’ll have to work harder to stay on top. On the other hand, this does develop good skills and makes you ready for anything.
Make sure you weigh your skills and what you’re looking for before you agree to anything. This program can offer you a lot of advantages, but only if you think it’s the right one for you. If it is, learn all you can about it and you’ll be likely to flourish with new tools in your hands.

Internet marketing is confusing even to the experts. For a beginner, it can become overwhelming. You’re constantly asking yourself all sorts of questions, just one of which being “CPA marketing or affiliate marketing?” First, you have to understand that there is a difference and what goes into it.
The biggest difference comes down to what the money goes towards. Affiliate marketing is more traditional – sellers end up buying the actual sales for their products. But with CPA, they’re buying different actions – things like free trial offers or getting people to sign up with their e-mail addresses or zip codes.
You will find that there are some things that are shared between these two options – the affiliates themselves, for example. The good thing with CPA is that while you still get hits, you also let people get to know you before they buy, and they’ll be more willing to invest in more when they eventually do so.
Because of this, the affiliate’s main job is not actually to get sales processed – that’s up to the seller himself. What they do, however, is provide many potential clients to the people they work with, so that the maker of the product can rely on a good market once they do start getting people to buy things themselves.
You shouldn’t accept this as a foolproof plan, however. If you don’t have more time than what’s needed for affiliate marketing, you should avoid this because it is going to end up taking more effort. Otherwise, you’re not going to get the results you’re looking for.
CPA is better than affiliate marketing in some ways, but that doesn’t mean you should rush into it blindly. If it works for you, great; if it doesn’t, try something else. You’ll know when you’ve found what really works for you based on the amount of money you’re able to take in over the internet.

I put a lot of my thought into developing strategies for search engine optimization (SEO) for my business’s many traditional websites and blogs. Basically, an Internet business has only two choices when it comes to improving SEO. One of those is to handle your optimization efforts in-house, while the other is to hire a consulting firm to assist you in the project. I have three primary concerns about such companies. Many of the consultants are not well informed about legitimate research about how the search engine algorithms determine rankings. Some of them seem to prefer to respond to the latest rumor rather than relying upon solid empirical data; perhaps they just lack the necessary analytical skills. Some of the simply disguise themselves as experts, and then go out and purchase links from link farms. Such links can sometimes have very short term success, but eventually the linking strategies are made useless by sophisticated search engine algorithms that can uncover such schemes and cause your site to drop back farther in the search results than it was before you hired the self-proclaimed masters. The last of my reservations about these companies, at least the last that I will mention in this article, is that they tend to be overpriced for the limited value that a business typically receives.
If you read the first paragraph of this article, you know my recommendation: Do it yourself, unless you can afford the extremely high prices of someone like a Brad Fallon or a Leslie Rohde.
But to take the do it yourself approach, you will need to take the time to educate your in-house staff on the fundamentals of search engines and optimization for them, and you must also be willing to spend some money for well designed software to assist in the gathering and analysis of the immense amount of data that will be required. I wrote a comparison of the important SEO software that is available at one of my sites.
I have long been a long term supporter of SEO Elite (see sales page). This software is one of the products of the Callen brothers’ company, and it has been a leader in the SEO software niche for many years. I generally recommend it without any reservations. I recently learned that they are getting ready to release a new version, SEO Elite 2.0, so I recommend it now only on the basis of two conditions: 1) That you can get assurance that you will be able to get a special upgrade price for the new version when it is released in the future, or 2) that you decide to buy the same company’s highly recommended Keyword Elite, because they extend a substantial discount for buying both simultaneously (it comes as an upsell). I bought both at the same time and, together, they are still among the best investments I have ever made!
The other top level SEO software is Leslie Rohde’s Optilink (you’ll land on the sales page). Leslie Rohde is the patron saint of optimization, a genuine genius. Much of what I have learned about search engine optimization I learned from Rohde. Pardon the lack of modesty…I know an immense amount about SEO.
To those companies that can afford the expense, I strongly recommend buying both products (along with Keyword Elite). But if you are in a financial pinch and want to begin with just one of the two, I’m going to break with my longstanding position of suggesting SEO Elite and recommend Optilink, instead–temporarily, at least, until I have an opportunity to thoroughly test SEO Elite 2.0.
Both SEO Elite and Optilink are comparably priced at just under $200 each, which is a bargain. Only if you are really pinched for cash, Rohde’s company also offers a less sophisticated aid, Optispider, that is only half as costly as the robust Optilink. Furthermore, if you are shopping in the bargain basement, another software tool you could consider is Mark Ling’s Traffic Travis in the same price range as Optispider, that is about $100. If you follow the link in the first paragraph of this article, you can get to my comparison of all of these alternatives, and there are direct links there to each of the software products.
I am a frequent user of both SEO Elite and Optilink, and I believe that they compliment each other marvelously. They are tremendous time savers in both gathering the data and in helping make sense of it all.
It is a known fact that almost 90 percent of affiliates earn less than hundred dollars per month. So, you cannot depend on affiliate marketing. But if you put in some extra effort, then you can increase you commissions. Before entering into this field, a lot of people are under the false assumption that affiliate marketing is basically a short-cut way of becoming rich without much effort. Actually it is not such an easy business. Don’t think that you will put a couple of banners on your website and you will start earning. A great place to start is with the tips below or the course Commission Ritual.
There are some tips to raise your affiliate commissions:
1. Build a good website
Good website means, a website that draws the visitors’ attention. It must not be rich in graphics. It should be simple and easy to navigate. It should be easy for the visitor to find anything that he wants.
2. Do SEO or Search Engine Optimization
Search engine optimization is very necessary to drive steady traffic to your site. This is a very big topic. There are a number of approaches to raising your sites page rank. Banner exchange is a famous technique. Search engine friendly URLs is another search engine optimization technique. This is covered in the Commission Ritual review.
3. Select the Best Merchant
Pick the right merchant to start with. Don’t look at the profits offered. Look at the expertise and experience of the merchants. See their history. How many products they have launched in the markets and how many were successful. Are they very good in marketing? Are they providing good service to their customers?
Find the answers of all above questions and you will discover the right merchant that will give you good and consistent business.
4. Increase Traffic to Your Site
Getting a lot of traffic to your site is basically the key factor in this field. You must consider that not every visitor is going to be a buyer. Only a few of them will buy your product, so it is important to get more and more traffic to your website. Some important techniques are email campaigns, banner exchange, RSS feeds, selection of the right keywords, writing search engine friendly content on your website etc. Check out the Commission Ritual bonus for more on this.
5. Pre Sales
An important point is to read the minds of your visitors to understand what they need and then offer them the right thing at the right cost. Try to attract your visitors with the extra things that they would like. For example, if you are selling laptops on your website, then you can put some useful articles on how to troubleshoot laptops. This will attract your visitors. It is possible that your visitor might not make a sale in the first visit. But if he likes your articles he will come back to study your articles and it is possible that he may make a purchase after some visits. This concept of offering some useful free gifts to your visitors is called pre sales. It is very helpful in increasing your sales.
You cannot get the desired results in a few days, but it requires some time. Concentrate on how to improve your business by building a quality website and driving more and more traffic to your website. Choose the right merchant and attract the people by offering useful products and gift packages. One happy customer has the potential to bring you 10 more customer.
Are you willing to determine which method is better to increase the revenue from your online business? Are you choosing between PPC and SEO and can’t make a decision on which one will be the most appropriate for you? Well, here are some ideas which may help you to distinguish between these two search engine marketing tools.
The major difference between Pay Per Click and Search Engine Optimization is that PPC is a paid ranking and and you have to invest in every click you want to get, while SEO is a way of getting good ranking, and with it more traffic in a natural, organic way. You may be wrong if you consider that SEO will be free of charge for you, as you can choose to outsource seo and hire a professional seo firm to perform all the work for you. SEO price may differ depending of the company and the services provided.
The main benefit of PPC advertising is that it is instant, you can create and start a campaign in one day, whilst SEO is a time consuming process, which takes months of work and usually involves implementing some changes on your website to make it search engine friendly. You need to take some time before you see any results from SEO, but if you do everything right, you will be happy to see the improvement of your organic search engine position.
In contrary, PPC ads will be a permanent cost for for your online business over time, but will attract very fast results, which can be very useful for short term promotions, as there is much lower initial cost involved.
When choosing one or another online promotion tool, you would certainly give your preference to the one, which can later show you some tangible results. Here you can face some problems estimating the initial search engine optimization value against the initial cost of implementing it.
What can not be measured, can not be evaluated. PPC campaign can be assessed more easily as you will be dealing with your investments and profit in a relatively short term.
PPC advertising providers such as Google AdWords, Yahoo, etc. provide information on each and every ad performance. No need to set up any extra tracking, as leads or sales can be tracked by adding a code, meaning that the cost per sale or lead can be tracked from the very beginning.
Quite the opposite, measuring the results of seo performance is a much harder task and requires an installation of website analytics package or log files.
Usually online marketing professionals suggest using both SEO and PPC, as one complements another and generate better results in a long term perspective. For example, once a website is ranked well within the search engine PPC can still be used for short term promotions, new keyword and key phrases testing and quick traffic generation.
