Teresa was a forty-nine-year-old real estate agent who knew that she had a problem with her drinking. For example, within the past two months she has experienced the need to have three or four drinks before going to work, four months ago she failed to pass a random urine alcohol test at work, two months ago she got stopped by the police for a DWI, and finally, for the past three months she has begun to forget what she does and says when she goes out drinking with her pals.
Similar to hosts of other people, Teresa’s involvement with alcohol started out gradually and continued at this level of involvement for quite some time due to the fact every now and again she engaged in intermittent social drinking. In fact, for almost eight months, every time she drank, she made sure to drink in moderation. Something about her pattern of drinking, however, seemed to totally change when she divorced her husband.
So She Can Rise Above the Breakup of Her Husband In a Less Wearisome Manner, Teresa Came to a Decision That She Will Begin Palling Around More Repeatedly With Some of Her Friends Who Love to Have Fun and Drink
Teresa got extremely “down” about the divorce from her husband, and as a way to quit obsessing about her disheartening feelings she arrived at a decision that she would start associating more routinely with some of her pals who love to have fun drinking.
Quite candidly, Teresa believed that having fun nearly every day by drinking and partying with her buddies would help her rise above the divorce of her husband in a more trouble-free manner.
Teresa’s Drinking Escalates Significantly the More Habitually She Goes to Happy Hours, Family Get-Togethers, Dinner Dates, Sporting Events, and Private Parties With Her Buddies
It didn’t take too long, however, before her drinking escalated to a significant extent the more often she went to and drank at family get-togethers, private parties, sporting events, happy hours, and dinner dates with her buddies. Moreover, the fact that her drinking buddies were all quite a bit younger than she was and therefore able to party harder and more frequently was one of the reasons why she didn’t allocate more of her attention to her increased drinking. To be brief, she was drinking and having lots of fun just like everyone else in her group of friends without giving too much consideration about the negative consequences of her abusive and excessive drinking.
Yet in the back of her mind she realized that she most likely needed alcohol rehab but stayed away from the thought as much as humanly possible.
Teresa Gets a Physical, Owns Up to the Facts About Her Irresponsible and Excessive Drinking to Her Healthcare Practitioner, and ”Comes Clean” About Her Melancholy
One late afternoon during her twelve month physical, her healthcare practitioner asked her if she drank alcohol. Not wanting to tell “stories” to her healthcare practitioner, Teresa disclosed the truth that she routinely drinks more than she should. As a matter of fact, she said that she frequently drinks in a hazardous and abusive manner. Then Teresa told her doctor about her sadness. More to the point, she articulated that ruined relationships more often than not caused a negative progression of events characterized by increased drinking which further led to more disheartening feelings that, in turn, led to more drinking. And this is explicitly what took place when her husband and she got divorced five years ago.
When her healthcare practitioner heard this, he informed Teresa that according to various alcoholism facts and statistics on alcoholism he was reviewing, alcoholism and depression many times occur in the same person. He then informed Teresa that some of the alcohol statistics, research investigations, and facts he has been reading about also underline the fact that individuals who drink in an irresponsible and abusive manner and who also suffer from depression need to obtain treatment for both medical conditions.
Teresa’s Healthcare Professional Makes an Appointment for a Psychological Evaluation and For an Alcohol Addiction and Alcohol Abuse Assessment
Teresa’s physician then stated the following: “I am not trying to make a sudden diagnosis, but with your medical situation we may be facing two separate concerns. As a result, I think we should schedule an appointment for you to get an alcohol abuse and alcoholism assessment from my partner, Dr. Hults, who is an alcohol abuse and substance abuse specialist. Whether your drinking circumstance is more associated with alcoholism or alcohol abuse is unknown, but I think that further evaluation is needed. Then I feel we ought to make an appointment for you to get a psychological examination from another one of my partners, Dr. Rossi, who is a clinical psychologist. I want to get a better grip on your melancholy and see how much your drinking and depression are correlated.”
Teresa Gets Motivated About Finally Addressing Her Irresponsible Drinking and Her Depression
Teresa expressed her approval of her healthcare practitioner’s strategy and thanked him for his time and concern. In truth, Teresa now felt a sense of personal fulfillment because she finally decided to do something positive about her drinking problems and her depression. Now all she had to do was to try to lessen her drinking and get ready for her appointments.
Teresa was a forty-six-year-old fashion designer who realized that she had a drinking problem. For instance, within the past month she has experienced the need to have quite a few drinks before going to work, two weeks ago she tested positive for a blood alcohol test where she is employed, four months ago she got arrested by the police for a DWI, and last but not least, for nearly three months she has begun to fail to remember what she does and says when she drinks with her friends.
Like hosts of other individuals, Teresa’s alcohol involvement started out gradually and stayed at this tempo for quite some time because every now and then she engaged in casual social drinking. In reality, for almost three years, every time she went out with her friends to drink, she made sure to drink moderately. Something about her pattern of drinking, nevertheless, seemed to completely change when her husband divorced her.
So She Can Recover From the Loss of Her Husband More Painlessly, Teresa Made Up Her Mind To Begin Going Out More Frequently With Some of Her Pals Who Love to Drink and Have Fun
Teresa got extremely dejected about the loss of her husband, and as a way to stop her preoccupation with her depressing feelings she determined that she would start hanging around more often with some of her buddies who love to party.
Quite frankly, Teresa truly believed that having fun nearly every day by partying and drinking with her buddies would help her recover from the loss of her husband more quickly.
Teresa’s Drinking Escalates Significantly the More Often She Goes to Sporting Events, Family Get-Togethers, Dinner Dates, Happy Hours, and Private Parties With Her Buddies
It didn’t take very long, nonetheless, before her drinking increased to a significant extent the more frequently she went to and drank at sporting events, happy hours, family get-togethers, dinner dates, and private parties with her buddies. Not only this, but the fact that her drinking friends were all quite a few years younger than she was and therefore able to drink more carelessly was one of the reasons why she didn’t direct more of her attention to her increased drinking. To put it briefly, she was drinking and having a great time just like everybody else in her group of buddies without giving too much thought to the unhealthy effects of her drinking behavior.
Yet someplace in her awareness she knew that she probably required alcohol treatment but steered clear of the thought as much as she could.
Teresa Gets a Physical Examination, ”Comes Clean” About Her Hazardous Drinking to Her Healthcare Professional, and Owns Up to the Truth About Her General State of Gloom
One morning during her annual physical exam, her healthcare practitioner asked her if she drank alcohol. Not wanting to lie to her physician, Teresa disclosed the truth that she commonly drinks more than she should. In reality, she articulated that she commonly drinks in a hazardous and irresponsible manner. Then Teresa informed her healthcare practitioner about her sadness. More specifically, she articulated that shattered relationships frequently generated a disheartening sequence of events typified by increased drinking which further led to more disheartening feelings that, in turn, led to even more drinking. And this is explicitly what took place when her husband and she got divorced eight months ago.
When her doctor heard this, he informed Teresa that according to various alcoholism facts and statistics on alcoholism he was investigating, alcoholism and depression many times take place in the same individual. He then informed Teresa that some of the alcohol statistics, facts, and research investigations he has been reading about also stress the fact that people who drink excessively and who also go through depression need to obtain treatment for both medical situations.
Teresa’s Healthcare Practitioner Makes an Appointment for a Psychological Evaluation and For an Alcohol Dependency and Alcohol Abuse Assessment
Teresa’s doctor then told her the following: “I am not trying to make an unprepared analysis, but with your medical circumstances we may be facing two separate problems. As a result, I think we probably need to make an appointment for you to get an alcoholism and alcohol abuse evaluation from my partner, Dr. Jeffries, who is an alcohol abuse and alcoholism specialist. Whether your drinking circumstance is more related to alcohol abuse or alcohol addiction is unclear, but I think that further evaluation is justifiable. Then I think we need to schedule an appointment for you to get a psychological exam from another one of my partners, Dr. Danko, who is a psychologist. I want to get some more insights about your sadness and see how much your depression and drinking are associated.”
Teresa Gets Excited About Finally Facing Her Hazardous Drinking and Her Depression
Teresa expressed her satisfaction with her healthcare professional’s plan of attack and thanked him for his help. In reality, Teresa now experienced a sense of personal fulfillment because she finally made up her mind to do something positive about her abusive drinking and her depression. Now all she had to do was to try to decrease her drinking and get ready for her appointments.
Deswegen frage Dich: Was ist meine Vision?

Yippieh!
Alles Liebe und viel Motivation für Dich!

By motivation we understand a set of principles or factors that influence one in the direction of acting for success. Like you may know it already, anything intrinsic is limited to yourself, while the extrinsic variant involves external people and elements. The intrinsic type of motivation is also divided into two more subcategories. One is the intrinsic motivation that relies on enjoyment (let us take a hobby for example) while the other is the one that is based on obligation (like performing a task at work that we want to carry out very well only for our own sake and not for anyone else’s).
