Marketing On The Internet Video

One of the quickest ways to get thousands of visitors to your website is from a Joint Venture – This is the method of partnering with other people and “doing a deal”.

In many ways, Joint Ventures (JV’s) are much like Affiliate Sales where someone else is promoting your website and enticing people to visit.

One very common Joint Venture is working with someone else operating in a related or the same niche. You “do a deal” with the other party whereby they will push your website to their customers, in exchange for monetary compensation, or some other form of payment.

Perhaps the deal is you do the same (push their product to your customers).

Perhaps the deal is they do some form of advertising of your product or services to their mailing list in exchange for you buying some advertising space.

Or it could really just be a simple affiliate setup (you pay them a percentage of sales made to visitors they have directed to your website). In other words you have an affiliate set-up and “offer” it to the other person, who then gets paid for each client who purchases something.

But this is only a piece of the picture. Once you have some decent contacts and a decent mailing list, there are lots more you can do with JV’s.

For example you could join up with another person and build a new site selling new products and share in the profit (and costs). Perhaps you can JV with a “big name” Internet Marketer and get their endorsement of your product to use in promotional material.

How about doing a deal with a software developer where they do all the software development and you do the marketing and you both share the profits.

There are a heap of ways that JV’s work, and literally no limit to the possibilities. Get creative!

What you do want to do is join some of the JV networks out there especially the ones that are well known to other Internet Marketers because your then going to get more “deals” that are likely to be relevant to your market.

Many people claim to be experts in the area of internet marketing tips. We suggest you do some careful research yourself first to get a a beginning understanding of this some important fundamentals.

The best JV networks I have found is called the Joint Venture Network.

I like this site because it costs nothing to read through all JV’s. Only the person who submits a JV has to pay at a cost of $100 and targets literally thousands of people! This is a great way to get instant affiliates announce, a new product and the cost is quite reasonable.

As I mentioned though, you can browse all current JV’s for free if you wish. I’m a member and can vouch for it.

There is a special “one-time-offer” when you join to get some extra special deals as well and to change your membership type right up to Platinum where you get the ability to post “free” announcements every 30 days instead of paying $100 (this would be of use to the bigger marketer who is releasing new products on a regular basis). But you don’t need to do that, you can join for free and use it with paying anything if you wish.

Of course you don’t necessarily have to join a JV site to find people looking for a Joint Venture. You can also just go direct to the source and ask your existing contacts, or pick up the phone and start calling. I just find it a lot easier to put an announcement out, and get people who are interested to contact me… Nice!

Or what about attending a major Internet Marketing event. I did this myself; in fact I attended the Singapore World Internet Summit in May 2007 for this very purpose!

Can you find someone to exchange skills with? The process of doing this can build long-term relationships if done properly. Obviously anytime you are working with another person you need to make sure you build up a level of report and trust, and where possible and practical get an agreement in writing so both parties know exactly where they stand and what their obligations are.

This is particularly important in the case of setting up a new website as a joint venture. In these types of situation you need to have a clear understanding of expenses (who is paying for them, who has the authority to “charge expenses” i.e. either or both parties), how the profits are to be used and shared (e.g. even split, profits left in system, or taken out monthly, etc).

JV’s can potentially be a massive way to increase visitors to your website!

Anyone can make a site, but the question is, can you make a site that will rank well. This means more exposure, which in the end means more sales.

This article presents 3 big tips for optimizing website content for ranking in the search engines.

1. Unique Content – A lot of people are putting sites out there that are basically clone sites.Search engines are identifying these sites to rank them lower. The search engines want you to give value to the web, not just clutter it up.What you want to do is have a site that can provide valuable, unique content.

Think about it like this: If you’re choosing between 100 sites that look the same and the one site that is different and unique, which one are you going to choose? The one that looks different is going to stick out and rank better.  Take some time and think through how you’re going to present your site.  It might take longer to do this, but in the end it will pay off.

2.Good Keywords – It’s all about the keywords.A site without the the right keywords won’t rank well.So how do you get these keywords? There are many free keyword tools, including one by Google.

There are also many pay sites that can tell you how popular a keyword is.  Generally, you want to find keywords that have a high enough number of monthly searches, but a low number of competitors.  A good guideline to follow is a keyword that gets 200 or more monthly searches, but has 10,000 or fewer competitor sites.  If you can, try to find about 20 – 30 of these.

3.Website Structure – So you have your keywords. Now what?Search engines send out spiders to your site to get the relevant information from it.Your goal is make it easy for the spider that is examining your site.

You can do this by using a keyword rich title.Use one of your best keywords in the title. If you want to use more than one, separate them using “|”.You should limit it to 2-3 keywords. The title of your site should be the best keywords you have.

You can also use meta and robots tags.  Meta tags go in the header of your site, and its also a place where you can put keywords that are relevant to your site.  Don’t overdo it, though, because the search engines will think you’re keyword stuffing, which will hurt you.

The robots tag basically gives permission to the search engine spiders to search your site.  Just use “meta name=”robots” content=”all”, and the spiders will spider you site.

Many internet marketing beginners have a basic understanding of search engine optimization (SEO).Beginners want their sites to rank well in the search engines without realizing their sites might be the problem.  This article presents 6 SEO mistakes to avoid on your website.

1.Frames – Many people use frames when building their web pages.Frames cause problems for search engines because the content in the frames is not easy to track.  The search engines cannot distinguish which frame contains the main content, so they could be tracking something not conducive to SEO for your website.

2.Flash – Flash is a popular way to make you website stand out. This might look good, but in terms of SEO, it means nothing.Search engines cannot read Flash files, so it would be useless for you to include Flash on your site.

3.Keyword Stuffing – Using too many keywords will cause your page ranking to go down.Having too many keywords causes search engines to think that your page is being spammed or that it is artificially created.Search engines want unique content.

4.Keyword Hiding – This is related to keyword stuffing.  Attempting to make keywords that are colored the same as your background, and effectively “hiding” them, will cause the search engines to downgrade your page ranking.Again, this is because search engines see spam.Search engines do not like to be tricked.

5.  Text Inside Images – Sometimes marketers post images with a caption that is already embedded into the image.  It is better, however, to post the image by itself and have the caption be written in HTML.  The reason is that search engines use something called “spiders” to extract information from your web page.Spiders will assume any embedded text in an image is part of the image and will skip over this text.  If the caption is written as separate HTML, the spiders will read that caption and include it for SEO purposes.

6.  Javascript Links – If you use links on your side, you need to make sure to use simple HTML links instead of Javascript controlled links. Spiders will extract information from those links to be included for page ranking.

When an internet marketer is just starting out, search engine optimization can be a daunting challenge.  By taking these mistakes into account, however, an internet marketer can be confident that he or she is getting a good start.Avoiding these mistakes as well as implementing other SEO techniques will cause your page to be ranked in no time.
